Keep on Grilling!

Fall is here! What does that mean? Well... the cooler, crisp weather and the beautiful leaves start to fall on the ground. Pumpkin spice lattes and the smell of burning wood in the fireplace. It is a great time of year! Not hot, and not bitter cold. Holidays are coming soon and you can see the decor and gifts in every store you visit now. Some people think that when Fall is here, that means time to close up shop on the outside grilling; I say it is a great time to begin!

What is better then charring the outside of a steak or grilling some asparagus to go with your main course. The grill gives new flavors to your food that you just cannot get when cooking indoors. One of my favorite cookbook for looking for fresh, new, and fun recipes is Latin Grill. "Sultry and simple food for red-hot dinners and parties." ~ Rafael Palomino and Arlen Gargagliano.

Is there anything better than tortillas and cheese??? There could be, but when you are grilling them it makes it oh so much more delicious! One of our favorite recipes is the Grilled Flour Tortillas with Goat Cheese, Peruvian Olives, and Roasted Red and Yellow Peppers. You truly need to purchase this cookbook for your own kitchen though because your mouth will be watering with all of the recipes that are provided in  this book.

I am only going to give you a sneak peak into this recipe, you will have to buy the book from Chronicle Books to have Palomino's and Gargagliano's recipes.

Get four burrito-size flour tortillas and trim them into squares. Spread the goat cheese over, and then repeat with the rest of the ingredients. Place open faced on the grill to get those fabulous grill marks. Are you as excited as I am? I love grilling and even more, I love eating food from the grill! Would you like to find out the rest of the instructions? Go to Chronicle Books and purchase the Latin Grill for only $19.95. Believe me, it is worth it!
