"Since I was introduced to thrifting by my late Grandmother and Aunt; I can say that I love it more today than ever. My passion has led me to dabble into interior design, decorating, and writing. not in that particular order. I'm a self proclaimed professional thrifter, and stylist. Yet there is no singular title that encompasses all I know, can do, have done or aim to do. I am one who eschews from any trend. I set my own trends, without question.
Because of my passions, I created Chic Modern Vintage, an online place that connects me to everything I enjoy— I love hunting down vintage treasures, creative people, good vodka, good food, beautiful clothes, Prince, old movies, and I don't mind having a fruitful debate, if there's such a thing.
I love vintage because it has stood the test of time, yet I love the newness of the modern~ so in January 2010 CMV was born. I just wanted to talk about decor, thrifting, fashion, style, work, my love for the arts, music, life and whatever else came to mind. I don't want to broadcast anything boring, the ugly or the bad; who wants to send that into the world? We have enough of that already. My ultimate purpose is to extol the simple and beautiful things of life, as well as inspire others to seek, create, and enjoy their own life.
I want people to find value in my insight, and even find my advice, hints and tips interesting. I'm easy to get a hold of, willing and able to help when I can. You might find me somewhere digging in a pile of rubble, or haggling with someone about the price of something at a yard sale.

I have been planning events since I was a little girl but really became interested in the event industry after planning my own wedding in 2004. After that date, I was asked to plan events for family and friends and after further demand, decided to turn my passion into a business in 2010.
